Immersion Ritual
There is an exercise that is done in beginner scuba class where a diver learns to trim his or her buoyancy in order be able to find the neutral state where moving underwater requires the least effort.

When buoyancy is perfect, the student can perform a "fin pivot". This occurs when the diver's toes are constantly touching the bottom but each breath in allows the diver's head and chest to float up a foot or two and each breath out allows the diver to fall back to a prone position.

When done as a cyclical, meditational exercise, it is very powerful.
Breathe in ? cold, dry, cleanest air.
Esophagus sings ? cooling breeze rushing by.
Belly expands ? pulling joy inside.
Following chest ? tops off with light.
Gently rise ? loving breath, lifting infant.
Hold fast ? toes remain, caressing firma.
Arise, no effort ? gently, slowly, trusting physics.
Breath out ? throat releases, toxins leaving.

Belly push ? tensions break, a flock from the field.
Empty chest ? clear a path for the goodness coming.
Trust nature ? she responds and releases.
Allow the fall ? a gentle descent.
Sink to your bed ? a flower's petal.
Breathe in.
