Every full moon at Aquaest Retreat we do this ritual to remind us of the valuable waters that surround us. If you don't have a labyrinth or medicine wheel, you can create a temporary walking circle around your water altar.

We begin by collecting in glass jars with lids four waters from our area: Big Spring, Spring Creek, Aquaest Well, and Mystic Soaks Pool. Guests are invited to bring waters from their homes or favorite watering holes.

At each point of collection, we say or sing the following prayer written by Sulis:

Oh Chalice of the Grail:
Guide me through the mists
that separate.
Reveal to me the land
within the land.
Free the waters
of the sacred spring.
So that I may
wet my wisdom.

Going in, we call on the wisdom of the land and visualize the freeing of the waters.

In the center, with the waters, we offer our own prayers to each source.

Coming out, we ask for guidance from the waters regarding the role we can play in their free  flow and health.

Sulis keeps the four waters on a special silver tray, each jar topped by a creek rock, until the next month.
